今日から先週末の函館小旅行の話をする。今回は４人で函館一泊旅行に出かけました。僕と妻と妻の妹の母。２ヶ月前ほど計画した旅。今年もフェリーで行くことにした。なぜと言えば超安いからです。新幹線の場合、片道で７９４０円。フェリーなら一人なんど￥２２００です。３時間４０分の船旅になるけど、フェリー内でくつろげるし、デッキで散歩も出来るし、ゲームルームや売店、食べ物と飲み物の自動販売機もある。スタンダードルームで寝っ転がっても良いし、テレビを見たり、本を読んだりしても良い、結構快適です。青森市の出発時間は朝１０時。函館着は午後１時４０分。今回のホテルのチェックイン時間は夜８時なので、ベイエリアや元町を探索することに決定。僕は今回の函館旅に三つの見たいかやりたいことがある。最初は函館ソールフードのシスコライスを提供してるレストラン「カリフォーニア・ベイビー」でランチをたべる。あとはフラ・フープカフェの昭和おもちゃ博物館が見たい。そして、自分の義理の母は青森にある連絡船、「八甲田丸」に勤めてるから函館のメモリアルシップの「摩周丸」を見学した。実は僕もそれに興味があった。
As with airports, it was recommended that we go to the ferry terminal an hour before departure. This is our ferry. The Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry [Blue Happiness].
空港と同じ様に出発一時間前にターミナルに着くべき。これが私たちが乗るフェリー。津軽海峡フェリーの「ブルー・ハピネス」。

There are four ferries in the Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry fleet. The Blue Mermaid, the Blue Dolphin, the Blue Dolphin 2, and the ferry we are going to ride on, the Blue Happiness, which is also the biggest of the four.
津軽海峡フェリーに４隻があり、ブルー・マーメイド、ブルー・ドルフィン、ブルー・ドルフィン２と私たちが乗るブルー・ハピネス。ブルー・ハピネスは４隻の中で一番大き。

First, we staked out a spot in one of the standard rooms. We picked a spot that was close to a table. You can see my wife sitting at the table. Just so you know, there are four main room options. The above is a standard room. It's a large communal room that requires no reservations. There is a television on the wall and a pillow you can use to rest your head. There is even a ladies only standard room as well.
最初はスタンダードルームの場所を捕獲して、部屋の近くにあるテーブルもゲット。今妻がそのテーブルに座ってます。フェリーに部屋は４種類から選べる。上記の写真のスタンダード。これは広々した共同スペース。自由なので場所取りは早もの勝ち。
A step up would be the comfort room which includes a sofa mattress and a washbasin.
一つ上の部屋はコンフォートルーム。ここはソファマトレスと洗面完備の客室です。
There is also the view seat option. You can look out at the ocean from the comforts of a reclining seat and enjoy a casual cruise.
ビューシートのオプションもある。進行方向に向いた、海を眺めながらくつろげるリクライニングシートを用意されてる。上質のカジュアルクルーズが楽しめる。
Then there is the most luxurious room - the suite. This room includes a bed, a television, toilet, and a shower room. You can feel like a celebrity staying in a room like this. Of course, it will cost you more as well.
一番上品な部屋はなんと言ってもスイートですね。スイートにベッド、テレビ、トイレ、シャワールームが完備されてます。ここにいれば超セレブな気分になるのは間違いない！

I was playing this game and spent about 2000 yen before buying something to eat.

食べたあとはやっぱりデッキで散歩。
I know that looks like a giant whale but it's actually two small islands. They are both deserted islands on the coast of the Shimokita Peninsula near the town of Wakinosawa. The island is called Taijima because it's said to look like a red snapper, tai being the Japanese name. It is designated as a National Park. The island on the left is called Bentenjima and the island on the right is often referred to as Tateiwa. However, most people say the island looks more like a whale and that the Mutsu Lighthouse on Bentenjima looks like the spouting of the whale from it's blowhole.
大きな鯨に見えますが、二つの小さな島です。正式の名前は鯛島。下北半島むつ市脇野沢牛の首岬沖約８００ｍの陸奥湾上にある無人島。鯛に似てるから付けられた名前です。頭部の島は弁天島で尾の部分は立岩と呼ばれてる。でもとう見ても鯨にしかみえない。結構言われてるのは陸奥灯台は鯨の潮のように見える。鯛島は下北半島国定公園に含まれて、海域公園に指定されてます。

We are passing by the lighthouse at Sotogahama on the Tsugaru Peninsula side We were trying to figure out what the black spot was out in the ocean as well.
津軽半島の外ヶ浜町辺りを通る。フェリーから灯台が見える。あと私たちが黒い影はなんだろうと思った。

Displayed items always fascinate me. This is a PBCF (Propeller Boss Cap Fins). Uh, no, I have no idea what that means and the explanation is only in Japanese.
自分は展示品に興味を持つ人。これはPBCFというもの。PBCFは船舶に装着する省エネ装置らしです。
