Noboru Baba's [11 Cats] / 馬場のぼるの「１１ぴきのねこ」

I thought I'd just share a fun post today. Earlier this month, I've been reading the picture book series [11 cats] which were written by Aomori Prefecture native, Noboru Baba who was born in the town of Sannohe.

今日はちょっと何気ないネタです。今年に入って、今月の上旬に青森県三戸町出身の絵本作家馬場のぼるが書いた「１１ぴきのねこ」シリーズを読みました。

This is the first book in the series. 

これがシリーズの第１巻。

The next book I read in the series was "The 11 Cats and the Albatross". 

次読んだ本は「１１ぴきのねことあほうどり」。

In "The 11 Cats and the Piglet", the cats went on a drive out to the country. 

「１１ぴきのねことこぶた」にねこたちがあるひドライブに出かけて、こぶたと出会う。

In "The 11 Cats in a Bag", the cats are captured by a strange creature and force to work for it. 

「１１ぴきのねこふくろのなか」ねこたちが遠足に出かけて、いろんな注意のサインを無視して、危険の目にあう。

The final book I read in the series is [The 11 Cats and the Strange Cat]. In this story, the cats meet with a strange looking cat who seems to have some strange powers. There is actually one more book in the series but my local library didn't have it at the time I borrowed these books. 

自分がこのシリーズで最後に読んだのは「１１ぴきのねことへんなねこ」。ねこたちがへんなねこと出会う。そのへんなねこが不思議の力を持つ。シリーズにまた一冊のタイトルがありますが、図書館で借りたとき、そのタイトルはありませんでした。

A couple of years ago, the Aoimori Railway Line revealed one of their new trains. The "11 cats" train!

二年ほど前に青い森鉄道が新しい電車を紹介した。されが馬場登の「１１ぴきのねこ」の電車だ。

The train adds a little color to the Aoimori Railway Line. 

この電車が青い森鉄道を鮮やかにしてる感じ。

Komakino Site / 小牧遺跡

After moving to Aomori City in November of 2016 and purchasing a car the following month, we started exploring not only the city, but the Prefecture as well. Aomori Prefecture is known for its Jomon sites and we decided to check out the Komakino site one day. 

２０１６年１１月頃東京から青森市に引っ越しました。その翌月、車を購入、良く青森市や青森県を良く探索しました。今年世界遺産に登録された縄文遺跡の一つ、小牧遺跡を訪ねました。

We had to follow this dirt road to get to the site. 

この砂利道を進んで、遺跡の場所に辿り着く。

It appears there was a recent bear sighting on the day we went. 

行った日に”クマ出没注意のお知らせ”のサインがあった。

To be honest, I don't think these were made during the Jomon era. 

正直に言えば、これは絶対縄文時代で作られたものではない。

My wife found a four leaf clover. 

妻が四つ葉のクローバーを見つけた。

This building is the Komakino Site Conservation Center. 

この建物は青森市小牧遺跡観察施設「小牧の森 どんぐりの家」。

And so concludes our adventure for the day. 

そして今日の冒険の幕が閉じた。
