Today's main even is our stay at a hot spring called Furofushi. Check in time was 3pm and we got there right on time. This was my Mother's Day present to my Mom and mother-in-law. Although Mother's Day is the following weekend, my mother would be going back to Kansai next Monday.
この旅のメインイベントは不老ふ死温泉の一泊旅行。チェックインは午後３時。その時間に付き、部屋に案内された。この温泉旅行は母の日の為、自分のお母さんと義理の母へのプレゼント。母の日は来週なんですが、自分の母さんは来週の月曜日、関西に戻るため、今週末にした。

The room is located at the end of the hall. A pretty long walk to the baths in the main hotel.

It's a pretty large room. Big enough for the four of us.
部屋は広くて、４人には余裕あり。
And our room has an ocean view. That would be the Sea of Japan you see from our window.
私たちの部屋はオーシャンビューにもなってる。見えてるのは日本海。

Mom wasn't traveling solo. She brought Dad with her.
母さんは一人で旅してるわけじゃない。ちゃんと亡くなったお父さんも一緒。

This is how many steps my mother has walked so far. My sister told me she usually averages about 500 steps at home.
母さんが今の時間まで歩いた分。妹から聞いた話によると、アメリカのうちで平均的に５００歩しか歩いてないみたい。

Just a few more minutes before we head to the oceanside outdoor bath.
海辺の露天風呂行きまであとちょっと。

After we finish this beer, we will head to the oceanside outdoor bath. Taking pictures of the oceanside outdoor bath is not allowed so I borrowed a few images from the Internet.
ビールを飲み終わったら海辺の露天風呂に行きます。海辺の露天風呂の撮影は禁じらてるからネットでいろんなイメージを借りた。
The oceanside outdoor bath is open to the public so non-guests are allowed to come and use the bath until 4pm.
不老ふ死温線日帰り客用の駐車場からの写真。日帰り入浴は夕方１６時まで。
At the oceanside outdoor bath, on the right is the women's area. On the left is a mixed area. There is no men's only bath. However, the more modest men and women can borrow bathwear for a small fee from the front desk. It is free for hotel guests.
海辺の露天風呂に二つのお風呂がある。右側は女性専用。左側は混浴となってます。男性のみのお風呂はありません。女性の方は専用の湯あみ着用してご入浴出来ます。レンタルは４００円。宿泊客無料。

We then went back to our room to relax before tonight's dinner.
海辺の露天風呂を堪能したあと、部屋に戻って、夕飯までリラックスしました。
Dinner was also a treat as we opted for the all-you-can eat seafood buffet.
夕飯も凄い楽しみだ。私たちが予約したプランは海鮮の食べ放題。
Of course I treated myself to a craft beer. I had myself a Tawazako Beer from Akita Prefecture called Buna no Mori.
もちろん自分へのご褒美として、秋田県田沢湖ビール「ぶなの森」を頼みました。
The buffet was awesome. Seafood was main but they also served wagyu and Sakura Himedori chicken. Everything was delicious.
夕飯は海鮮食べ放題ですが、海鮮だけではない。和牛もあったし、桜姫鶏もあった。全部が美味しかった。
Look at the wonderful sashimi. So good it just melts in your mouth.
この刺身を見て。食べたら、口の中に溶ける。
And check out all the salmon roe my wife topped her rice with.
あれも見て。妻がいくらをトッピングした白米。いくら丼やん！

After dinner, it was time to head to the baths in the hotel.

My wife and I enjoy taking morning baths so we got to check out both sides.
僕と妻は朝風呂も好きだから、大浴場のお風呂両方入れた。

After that, it was just time to sleep.
その後は寝るしかない。

翌朝起きて外を見る。結構曇ってますな。

先ほども言いましたが、私たちが泊まった部屋は一番奥にあった部屋でした。
Breakfast time. Yes, breakfast was also all-you-can-eat.
朝食タイム。はい、朝食も食べ放題でした。

見れば誰の朝食がすぐ分かると想う。上記に載ってる写真は妻が選んだもの。
I couldn't pass up fresh bread and croissants.
パンとクロワッサンもあって、食べるしかないよ。
Back to the room to enjoy a bit more of the ocean before checking out.
部屋に戻って、チェックオウトする前にもう一回日本海の眺める。
As we left the hotel, my mother-in-law and mom were talking about Japanese music and then they broke into song.
ホテルを去って、車の中で義理の母と母が日本の歌謡曲の話をしてたら二人が突然歌い出した。
On our way back home, we stopped at the Morita Roadside Station [Earthtop] and had soba at [Kakashi].
帰りの途中、道の駅もりた「アーストップ」にある蕎麦屋「案山子」でランチを食べた。
