Nebuta House [Warasse] / ねぶたの家 「ワ・ラッセ」

If you come to Aomori City and have missed seeing the Nebuta Festival, no worries. You can still check out many Nebuta floats at the Nebuta House [Warasse]. If you go on the weekends, sometimes there will be volunteers to teach you how to "dance" or "hop", called haneru. And there may be others to show you how to use the taiko drums or play the cymbals.

青森市に来てねぶた祭りを見逃したら、安心して下さい。まだねぶたが見る場所があります。それが駅の近くにあるねぶたの家「ワ・ラッセ」。週末にボランティアも良くいるので、祭りの跳ね方や太鼓を体験出来ることもある。

This red and black building is the Nebuta House [Warasse].

この赤と黒の建物がねぶたの家「ワ・ラッセ」です。

The floats that are displayed changes every year after the Nebuta Festival and features the winning floats from that year.

展示されてるねぶたは毎年変わります。展示されるのは、その年のねぶた祭りで優勝したねぶたです。

Then there are the different faces of Nebuta along with the names of the artist displayed along the wall.

There is also a small museum shop and a restaurant located in the building.

ねぶたを見終わったら、最後はお土産屋を探索しても楽しいかも。あとビルの中に和食のレストランもあります。
