Sakura Miku Taxi / 桜ミクタクシー

About three years ago, when a taxi came to pick me up from Naijoshi Station to take me to the factory where I teach English once a week, imagine my surprise that I was picked up in an anime-decorated car. I was familiar with the virtual idol Hatsune Miku but had no idea that Hatsune Miku and Hirosaki City did a collaboration project. The Sakura Miku Taxi is the only one in existence (or so the taxi driver told me). A very friendly and talkative female driver who told me she always tries to be the one to pick me up. She is also the driver of the Sakura Miku taxi. It was the first I had seen it so I asked if I could take pictures of it and she said no problem. 

３年前、企業の授業に行くとき、いつも撫牛子駅でタクシーが迎えに来てくれる。ある日、凄い派手なタクシーが登場。アニメのキャラが描いたタクシーでした。自分はバーチャルアイドルの初音ミクは知ってたが、桜ミクを初めて見た。陽気な女性運転手が教えてくれた。初音ミクと弘前市がコラボプロジェクトを実施、このタクシーも登場した。実は日本でこの１台しかありません。それも運転手の情報。彼女がいつも俺狙いに、自分の電車の時間で近くでいようとするとも言った。なぜか僕と話しするのが大好きで、結構仲良くなった。自分がその桜ミクタクシーが珍しいから写真を撮っても大丈夫と聞いたら、遠慮無く撮ってと言われた。

The following year, just around the Cherry Blossom Festival season, I was once again picked up by the Sakura Miku taxi. However, this year, the driver went all out in decorating the interior. She even told me that there were passengers who would reserve this particular taxi; however, it costs an extra one thousand yen.

翌年弘前市桜まつりの時期また桜ミクのタクシーが迎えに来た。今年その運転手がインテリアまで桜ミクに仕上げた。凄いしか言えない。桜ミクのファンが結構いるみたいで、わざわざこのタクシーを予約することもあると教えてくれた。プラス￥１０００になるみたい。

This year I've already been picked up by the Sakura Miku twice. Unfortunately, it was before the driver was going to decorate the interior. Maybe I'll be lucky tomorrow. 

今年はもう２回ほど桜ミクのタクシーを乗車した。運転手が桜祭りの前にまた車内を桜ミクだらけにすると言ってけど、自分が乗った時はまだどうやってするのかを考え中だった。明日運がよこれば、また車内も派手になってる桜ミクタクシーが乗れるかも。
