Waraji-tei /

Now that we have a car, life in Aomori has become more convenient. The first thing we had to do was buy some car accessories. Snow brush, winter floor mats, adapter so we could charge our smart phones on long trips. We also made an appointment to get our hair cut today but since my wife was not familiar with the location, we would pick up her sister after work which would be around noon. We also decided to go out to lunch before getting our hair cut and decided on a steak shop that has been in business here for over 30 years. The name of the restaurant is Waraji-tei and is located on top of a hill. Its very hard to miss and it turns out that it is also a five minute drive away from our house.

Yep, I would say its pretty hard to miss this building.

The three of us ordered the same item on the menu. Their number one item which was their jumbo steak (approx 8oz.).

The steak set is served with salad, soup and rice. Unfortunately for me, you could not change the rice for bread.

A decent portion for Japanese standards. My American friends might complain that the steak is too thin though.

Bon Appetit!
