Chinese Restaurant [Kichun] / 中華レストラン 「吉慶」（きっちゅん）

We had to make another trip to City Hall to update our information in regards to the National Pension Plan. As its too complicated to go into details, all you need to know is that we had to go to City Hall again! After that was done, it was a matter of decided where to go for lunch today.

また青森の市役所に行く必要があった。前に来たにすれば良かったが、忘れてました。国民年金の手続きもしなくてはいけなかったのだ。とりあえずそれを済ましてからまた街の中の何処かでランチを食べることにした。

My wife suggested a Chinese restaurant she used to frequent when she was still an Aomori resident before we got married. The name of the place is called [Kichun] and is located on the second floor of the Aomori Kokusai Hotel.

妻が提案したのは昔良く行ってた中華料理店「吉慶」（きっちゅん）。場所は青森国際ホテルの２階にあります。結構老舗の中華料理店らし。

I like the play on words.

言葉の遊びが面白いですね。

My wife and I shared the spring rolls as she said this was one of her recommendations.

妻のおすすめで揚げ春巻きをシェアしました。

My wife ordered the fried rice with shrimp. It may look simple but the shrimps are large and the volume of the rice is quite decent.

妻が注文したのは海老チャーハン。シンプルに見えますが、海老の新鮮さ、ライスの量。味はばっちりでした。

I ordered the butaniku yasai itame (stir-fried pork with cabbage in miso). My set included soup, rice and zasai (a type of pickle).

僕が注文したのは豚肉とキャベツの味噌炒め定食。セットがライス、スープ、とザーサイ付きです。

Our lunch came with dessert as well. The cost was just a little over 1,000 yen for the both of us.

ランチにデザートまで付いてました。ランチは１，０００円程度でした。
