Marumi Sunrise Shokudo /

A few days before we were to get our car, we went to visit one of my wife's cousin Keiko in an area called Namioka. My mother-in-law's sister Mami was driving that particular day. I must admit, Namioka seems to be somewhere out in the sticks. Keiko's grandfather used to work as a taxidermist so their house was full of stuffed birds (pheasants, quails, even a peacock) and other assorted animals. It appears he also used to skin animals for the their fur. The thought of taking pictures of them had crossed my mind but I decided against it as most people probably no longer approve of the practice.
On our way back home, we decided to have lunch at place called the [Sunrise Shokudo]. The place also serves as an inn. The yakisoba on the menu interested me while the other three ordered the ramen. What made this yakisoba different was the it was topped with a fried egg. Interesting.

I suppose I should have taken a picture after eating some of the egg so you could actually see the noodles.

We also stopped at some market but didn't buy anything. Just another adventure in Aomori for me.
