Tsuru no Mai Bridge / 鶴の舞橋

Going back to my sister-in-law's birthday celebration. After eating lunch and having coffee in Daishaka. We then took her to the Tsuru no Mai Bridge as she has never been there. It is the longest wooden bridge in Japan. The bridge is triple arched and is 300 meters (984 ft) long. 

義理の妹のバースデーランチを食べ終わったら、彼女を鶴田にある鶴の舞橋に連れてあげた。彼女はそこに行ったことないと言うから。鶴の舞橋は日本一の木造三連太鼓橋である。

Three simples rules to follow for crossing the bridge: ① Don't jump off the bridge into the lake. ② Be sure to hold young children's hands. ③ No bicycles or motorcycles. 

鶴の舞橋を渡る皆様にお願いのサイン。一、 ふざけて身を乗り出さない。一、保護者の方はお子様の手をしかっり握ってください。一、自転車、オートバイは通行禁止。

There are couple of rest areas along the bridge. That's my wife standing in the shadow. 

橋の間で２ヶ所休む場所がある。影に立ってるのは僕の妻です。

We're now on the other side of the bridge. 

橋を渡りました。

On the other side of the bridge, you will find the Tsuruta Town Japanese Crane Nature Park. 

橋を渡ったら、丹頂鶴自然公園がある。

Red-crowned crane / 丹頂鶴

The crane's name is Tsurujiro. 

鶴の名前は鶴次郎。

I can't tell if this is the male or female but their names are Tsuruhei and Rosie. 

オスかメスが知りませんけど、オスの場合、名前は鶴兵。メスの場合、名前はロッシー。

It was a really hot day that day so even the cranes were thirsty. 

超暑い日だったので鶴たちの喉も乾いてたんだね。

On a clear day, you would have a great view of Mount Iwaki.

凄い晴れた日に岩木山が綺麗に見える。

On our way back home, we stopped at Angelique and some ice cream and bought some desserts. 

帰りに「アンジェリック」に寄って、ソフトを食べて、デザートも買っちゃいました。

I had my soft serve in a waffle cone. 

僕のソフトはワッフルコーンでお願いした。

I think we got this one for my mother-in-law. Chestnut flavored cake. 

これは義理の母の為に買った、マロン味のデザート。

My wife's choice. A peach flavored dessert. 

妻が選んだのは桃のデザート。

Of course I ordered a pistachio flavored dessert. 

もちろん僕はピスタチオのデザートを選んだ。

And that ended our adventure for the day.
