After we checked out the Yomasari Dam near Hachinohe, we were headed into the city. Today, there was a place I wanted to see but as always, we made a couple of side trips along the way.
八戸市近くの世増ダムを堪能したあと、街に自分が行きたい場所があるけど私たちは相変わらず寄り道もしました。
A building in the middler of nowhere.

This looks like something you would see in a Studio Ghibli flick.
これはまるでスタジオジブリ映画の世界に出る様な風景。
There was what looked like a little park near here so we decided to take a look.
この近くに小さな公園があり、ちょっと探索してみた。
The sign says we this area is the Niida River Basin and is a conservation area for the forest, river, and sea.
サインを読むとこの辺は新井田川流域ふるさとの森と川と海保全地域。
I spotted a red dragonfly.
赤とんぼ発見。
We decided to cross this bridge as well.
橋は渡るもんですね。

ちょっと長いかも。

We came across a small building with a water wheel.

It was time for lunch We stopped at a place called [Forestopia Hashikami] and ate soba.
昼になり、ランチは「フォレストピア 階上内」で蕎麦を食べた。

蕎麦と天ぷらの盛り合わせ。
It appears my wife ordered a zaru soba and a hot soba.
妻がざる蕎麦と温かい蕎麦を注文したようです。
There is a popular gelato shop called [La Fata] located in the Forestopia building so of course we had dessert as well.
フォレストピア階上内の中に有名なジェラートの店「ラ・ファータ」もあり、もちろんデザートでジェラートを食べました。
I think this was my order. I most likely chose the cheese and black sesame.
これは多分自分のオーダー。ゴロゴロチーズと黒ごま。
