Travels around the Shimokita Peninsula (Part 4) / 下北半島の旅 （パート4）

Going back to our trip to the Shimokita Peninsula during Golden Week in 2017, on our way back to Aomori City from Osorezan, we stopped in Yokohama Town. Every year in May, Yokohama Town has a rape blossom festival. We thought we would check it out.

また２０１７年ゴールデンウィークの下北半島の旅に戻って、恐山から青森市に戻る途中に横浜町にちょっと寄り道した。なぜと言えば、毎年この時期に横浜町が菜の花祭りを開催してる。

We made another stop here at this tofu shop called [Yusuitei]. One of their specialties is the unohana doughnuts which are doughnuts made from soy pulp.

やっぱり横浜町と言えば、この豆腐専門店の「湧水亭」によらないと。名物は卯の花トーナッツ。これはオカラからできたドーナッツ。揚げたてが一番美味しい。

My wife also bought some yuba (dried soybean curd).

妻が生ゆばも買いました。

I picked up a Rape Blossom Beer at the Yokohama Town Roadside Station.

僕は横浜町の道の駅で菜の花ビールを買いました。

And so ended our adventures in the Shimokita Penisula. 

そして下北半島の旅が終了しました。
