The Ramen Shop / ラーメンショップ

My sister-in-law said she wanted to have a bowl of ramen at the [Ramen Shop] in Hiranai so we went there a couple of weeks ago. 

僕の義理の妹が平内町にあるラーメン屋「ラーメンショップ」をもう一度行きたいと言ったんので２週間ほど前に行きました。

We had dinner here before when my mother came to visit and thought the ramen was pretty good. The parking lot is always crowded which is another good sign. You can also get free bowls of rice and curry. Just the ramen was enough for me. 

僕の母が青森に遊びに来たとき、ここで夕飯を食べたこともあって、義理の妹が美味しいと言ってた。自分が食べたかったラーメンはその日売り切れでした。ま、この店はいつも混んでるし、ライスやカレーが無料で提供してる。それもこの店の人気さの秘密かも知りません。

My wife and sister-in-law and her son ordered the iwanori ramen. 

妻と義理の妹が岩海苔ラーメンを注文。

I ordered the spicy negi miso ramen. Yep, pretty spicy. I rather liked it. 

僕が注文したのは激辛味噌ラーメン。確かに激辛でした。でも癖になるような辛さ。

My wife and sister were rather disappointed with their ramen this time around. My wife said we won't be coming back to this shop anytime soon. Well, the ramen I didn't get to eat last time was no longer on the menu so I have no complaints as there are some other ramen shops I still want to check out. 

妻と義理の妹は今回食べたラーメンは前と比べて味が落ちたのような感想言ってました。なにが違ったんだろう。ま、以前自分が食べたかったラーメンはメニューから外されて、別にまた来なくても自分は損してない気分。ほかのラーメン屋で食べたいラーメンがまだ山ほどある。

On our way back home, we stopped at the Michinoku Shake shop. My wife and sister-in-law had ice cream but this place is known for its shakes (you can choose from over 140 varieties) so I ordered a fresh strawberry shake. 

帰りの途中、みちのくシェイクの店に止まりました。妻と義理の妹はソフトクリームを食べたが、やはりこの店に来るとシェイクを注文するべき。１４０種類以上から選べる。自分は定番の生ストロベリーシェイクをチョイス。

Eating ramen in Hiranai was the only agenda we had for the day so afterwards, we just headed back home.

今日のメインがこの店でラーメンを食べるだけだったので、食事を食べ終わったら、そのまま家に帰りました。
