Another weekend, another drive. Now that we started collecting dam cards, we once again started driving all around Aomori Prefecture to go to the dams that hand out dam cards. Our objective today was to see the Kodomari Dam.
別の週末、別のドライブ。ダムカード集めを始まったので、また青森県内に走り回って、正式なダムカードを提供してるダムへのドライブも始めた。今日の目的地は小泊ダム。
As this was still my first year of living in Aomori City, I had no idea that this was an annual event. The Scarecrow Road.
青森市に引っ越してまだ1年も経ってないので、こういうのが毎年行われてるのは知らなかった。案山子ロードで命名されてるらしい。

I'm not a gamer so I didn't know this character shows up in Dragon Quest 10. In the English edition, it is called Healslime.
自分はゲーマーではないので、ドラゴン・クエスト10に出てるキャラクター等知らない。調べてみたら、これがホイスライムという生き物だった。
I also recognize popular Japanese cartoon character Kinniku Man. I'm not sure who he is fighting though.
あっ、日本の人気アニメキャラクター筋肉マンは分かりますが、敵の名前は知りません。
Um, I have no idea who or what this character is.

To get our Kodomari Dam card, we had to drive to the Kodomari Roadside Station [Pontomari].
小泊ダムカードをゲットにするのは小泊道の駅「ポントマリ」まで行かなきゃいけない。

Aside from the lone tire, the beach did look rather nice.
先ほど見たタイヤーを除けば、ビーチは結構綺麗です。
We stopped here because there was another point of interest to check out - the Nanatsu Waterfall.
ここに駐車した理由はちゃんとあります。ここのすぐ近くに青森県の見所があるから。それが七つ滝。

We then made another brief stop at the Chokandai Observatory.
次に止まった場所は眺瞰台。
I know it's hard to see but Chokandai is carved into the stone.
見にくいと想いますが眺瞰台と書いております。
You can see Cape Tappi towards the right. That would be Hokkaido across the water.
眺瞰台から龍飛崎が見える。海の向こうは北海道。
It was still early in the afternoon, so my wife and I decided to check out the Seikan Tunnel Museum located close to Cape Tappi. But that post will be for another time.
まだ午後１時くらいだったので、これから龍飛崎の近くにある青函トンネルミュージアムに行く事のした。ですが、それはまた今度話します。
