Winter Cherry Blossoms in Hirosaki / 弘前市の冬桜

Our final stop of our Hirosaki outing was to check out the winter cherry blossoms near Hirosaki Park. 

弘前市の買い物旅の最終目的地は弘前公園の近くの冬桜。

First we had to find some parking. 

最初はどっかで車を駐車する。

My mother-in-law said she would wait in the car because it was too cold for her. 

義理の母が車で待ってると言って、外は寒すぎるから。

And here we are, the winter cherry blossoms. 

到着。これが冬桜。

Or course they're not real cherry blossoms. The white snow on the trees reflect the pink lights making it look like cherry blossoms are in bloom. 

本当の桜ではない。木の上の白い雪がピンクのライトを反射して、桜が咲いてる様になってる。

The leaves are also reflected in the moat. 

堀にも反射してます。

The lights change colors as well. 

ライトはいろんな色に変わる。

We also decided to check out the illumination at the Hirosaki Municipal Tourist Center. 

ついでに弘前市立観光館のイルミネーションも見に行った。

Hirosaki is famous for its apples!

弘前と言えば林檎ですね。

This building is the former Hirosaki City Library. 

この建造物は旧弘前市立図書館。

The shadowy person is my wife. 

影になってる人は僕の妻です。

It was really cold and the road and sidewalk was icy so we carefully walked back to the car and then headed back home. 

本当に寒かった。道路や歩道も凍ってた危なかった。ゆっくり車に戻り、そのまま帰りました。
