Soup Curry Restaurant [Kandy Spice] / スープカレー専門店「キャンディ・スパイス」

Last week when we went shopping in Hirosaki, we started off by going to a building called Hiroro. Located on the first floor of the building is a soup curry shop called [Kandy Spice]. My wife and I have been here on other occasions but it was the first time for my mother-in-law. 

先週弘前で買い物に行ったとき、買い物する前にヒロロというデパートに行って、そのビルの１階にスープカレー専門店の「キャンディ・スパイス」が入ってる。僕と妻は何回も行ったことあるけど、義理の母は始めて。

The curry sets are served with a salad.

We recommended the vegetable soup curry for my mother-in-law. 

義理の母におすすめしたのは野菜たっぷりスープカレー。

Of course rice is served with the curry. For my mother-in-law, on top of the rice was a couple of strips of fried burdock root. 

もちろんライスは付いてますよ。義理の母のライスに揚げたごぼうも乗ってた。

My wife and I chose the crispy chicken soup curry. The crispy chicken is placed on top of the rice. 

僕と妻が注文したのは皮パリチキンスープカレー。皮パリチキンはライスの上に乗ってる。

The great thing about Kandy Spice is you can choose from two different types of soup. An original blend or a shrimp blend. Also, you can choose the spicyness of your curry, from a scale of 1 to 30, 30 being the spiciest. We all chose the original blend. My wife and mother-in-law opted for a spicyness level of 5. l went a couple of levels and asked for 7. 

カンディー・スパイスの良いところは、２種類のスープが選べる。オリジナルブレンドか海老のエキスが入ったもの。そして辛さは３０段階から選べる。辛さ３０倍が一番辛いかも。私たち全員はオリジナルスープを選んで、妻と義理の母は中辛（５倍の辛さを注文）。僕は超大の辛口（７倍の辛さ）。

After we finished luncn, we walked around Hiroro for a bit and checked out their holiday decorations. 

ランチを食べ終わってからヒロロの中をブラブラ歩いて、クリスマスデコレーションを見たりしてた。

My wife said since we were in Hirosaki, for dessert we should have some delicious apple pie. We chose the coffee shop located at the Fujita Memorial Garden, so that is where we went to next. 

妻がせっかく弘前に来てるから、美味しいアップルパイの店でアップルパイを食べようと提案した。決めたのは藤田記念庭園にの中にある喫茶店。それが次の目的地となった。
