Our next stop on our Hirosaki shopping day was to the coffee shop located at the Fujita Memorial Garden near Hirosaki Park.
弘前市のショッピングデイでランチを食べたあと、次の目的地を目指した。それた藤田記念庭園の中にある喫茶店。
This is the Western-style building which houses the coffee shop.
この建物は藤田記念庭園にある洋館。この中に喫茶店があります。

There were quite a few people ahead of us so we had to wait about an hour before being seated at our table.
結構混んでたので、席にご案内されるのは約１時間後。待ってる間、館の中を探索。

この写真は大正１３年（１９２４）に撮影され、藤田兼一と日本の政治家後藤新平が映ってます。場所は黒石にある黒石鳴海酒造所。

There was a grand piano in one of the rooms on the first floor as well. It is a Bechstein Model A. It was built sometime in the early 1900's. It is only used for official concerts.
１階にピアノが展示されてる。ベヒシュスタイン モデルA。１９００年（明治３３）前半頃に製造。このピアノはコンサートの為以外、演奏するのは禁じられてる。

The apple pie menu. We got to the coffee shop around 2pm so you can see that four of the nine choices of apple pies were already sold out.
喫茶店のアップルパイメニュー。私たちは午後２時くらいに着いて、約１時間を待ってたので９種類のアップルパイの中から４種類はすでに完売。

We all ordered the apple pie dessert plate which includes ice cream with a raspberry sauce and a cookie. Also included is a drink of your choice. My wife chose the Eau Clair apple pie.
私たち３人がアップルパイプレートを注文しました。好きなアップルパイを選んで、アイス、クッキーと飲み物が付いてます。妻が選んだアップルパイは「オークレーア」。メニューによると皮や芯まで丸ごと使用。香ばしく焼き上げた蜜りんごの果肉たっぷりなアップルパイ。冷えたままで召し上がる。
My mother-in-law and I chose the Tsugaru Ringo Yume Farm apple pie. This apple pie is served hot.
僕と義理の母が選んだアップルパイは津軽ゆめりんごファームのアップルパイ。メニューに書かれてるのは青森県産小麦を使用したバター風味豊かな自然派アップルパイ。
I don't usually drink coffee but it seemed appropriate at this coffee shop.
普段コーヒー飲まない俺はこういう喫茶ならやはり飲むべきと想う。
Of course I added milk and sugar to my coffee.
もちろん自分のコーヒーにミルクと砂糖を入れました。
The building may be rather large but the coffee shop itself isn't that spacious.
外から見る洋館は大ですが、中にある喫茶店は意外と狭い。
One last look at the building before going to Ito Yokado to do our shopping.
本当の目的の買い物に行く前にもう一回洋館を見る。
By the time we finished shopping at Ito Yokado, it got dark so we decided to check out the illumination of the trees along the outer moat of Hirosaki Park. As the lights are pink, the white snow reflects the light making it look like cherry blossoms are in bloom in the winter. But that will be for the next post.
イトーヨーカドーの買い物を終えたらもう暗くなった。１２月９日から弘前公園の外側でライトアップが開催してるので、それを見に行った。ライトはピンク色で、木に積もった白い雪がそのピンク色を反したら、冬の桜が見えるようになってる。ですが、それは次のネタで紹介します。
