Fresh Sea Urchin Bowl at [Hako Shokudo] in Hachinohe City / 八戸市、「波光食堂」の生うに丼

Last Monday, we went on a little drive to Hachinohe City. I wanted to climb up one of the few lighthouses that's open to the public. So, our first destination was the Samekado Lighthouse. 

この間の月曜日、八戸市までのドライブに出掛けた。僕がやりたかったことがあり、蕪嶋神社の近くに一般公開してる灯台があり、それを登りたかった。その灯台は鮫角灯台という。

We made it to the lighthouse without incident only to discover that it's only open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays!! Well, that adventure will have to be for another day. So, before enjoying the drive along the coast, we decided to have lunch. Now is the season for fresh sea urchin. We decided to go one of the most popular restaurants that serves the dish. We had been there about four or five years ago, so my wife was pretty excited about it. That would be the [Hako Shokudo].

鮫角灯台に到着。ですが悲しお知らせが待ってた。一般公開は土・日のみでした。今日は月曜日だ。あ～あ、この冒険はまた今度だ。ま、種差海岸沿を楽しむ前にランチを食べることにした。今旬の食材と言えば生うにです。妻が行きたい店があり、私たちも４・５年前にも行ったところ。それが「波光食堂」。

I’ｍ not the biggest fan of sea urchin so I ordered a set that included a mini sea urchin bowl and a mini iso ramen. While we were waiting for our meal, I also ordered a beer.

自分は生うにそんなに好きじゃないので、自分が注文したのはミニ生うに丼とミニ磯ラーメンセット。生うにというより、俺はやはり生ビールが好みかな。

My mother-in-law ordered the fresh sea urchin bowl which costs \2700. 

義理の母が注文したのは生うに丼。活鮑、小針、みそ汁付で値段は税込みで￥２７００。

My wife decided to order the Special Set which includes both, a fresh sea urchin bowl and a bowl of iso ramen. The special set costs \3050. 

僕の妻が注文したのは得別セット。セットは生うに丼＋磯ラーメン。値段は税込みで￥３０５０もする。

It's not that I don't like sea urchin but I wasn't that hungry when we came to the restaurant, that's why I ordered the mini set. 

生うにが嫌いというわけではないが、店に着いたとき、自分はそんなに腹減ったなかったのでミニセットにした。

My wife's special set includes the regular size fresh sea urchin bowl and a regular size bowl of ramen. Her set also included some pickled vegetables and mozuku, a type of seaweed dish. 

妻の得別セットは通常サイズの生うに丼と通常サイズの磯ラーメン。ほかにお新香ともずく付。

I believe this is the most popular dish on the menu. The fresh sea urchin bowl set. 

これが多分店の人気ナンバー１商品と想う。生うに丼セット。
