The Aseishigawa Dam and Nijinoko Park / 浅瀬石川ダムと虹の湖公園

After my wife and I had checked out the rice paddy art in Inakadate Village, we then went to Kuroishi. We were on our way to the see the Aseishigawa Dam. 

田舎館村の田んぼアートを堪能したあと黒石市を目指した。次の目的地は浅瀬石川ダム。

And here we are at the Aseishikawa Dam. 

浅瀬石川ダムに到着。

This is Nijinoko Lake. Further on is the Aseishigawa River. 

貯水側は虹の湖。その先が浅瀬石川。

I completed the jigsaw puzzle at the museum.

We decided to drive along the lake and went to the Nijinoko Roadside Station. 

湖沿いにドライブしながら虹の湖道の駅に着いた。

It was early September and just the beginning of the autumn foliage to change colors. 

９月上旬で紅葉が始まるちょっと前。

What's that?

あれはなんだ？

A giant Kokeshi Doll!

大きなこけしだ！

I'm not an expert on mushrooms so I don't know if this is edible or not. 

キノコの専門家ではなにので、このキノコが食べられるかどうか分かりません。

A rock garden perhaps?

石庭かな？

Of course we had to have our soft serve while at the Roadside Station. 

道の駅と言えば、やはりソフトを食べないと。

And we also got our dam card for the Aseishigawa Dam. 

そしてもちろん浅瀬石川ダムのダムカードを手に入れた。

And that concluded our adventure for the day. 

それで今日の冒険の幕が閉じた。
