Tarapokki Hot Spring / たらポッキ温泉

Tokyo may have many restaurants to choose from compared to Aomori but one of the advantages of moving north is that there are more hot springs to check out and some are even cheaper than the sento (public baths) of Tokyo as well. So after a day spent at the employment office and shopping, my wife suggested going to a local hot spring called Tarapokki. Not one to turn down a trip to a hot spring, of course I was excited. The place was located about a half-hour away by car and now that we have one, we can make these trips from time to time!

東京は青森よ美味しいレストランは多いは当たり前かも知りませんが、青森に引っ越して東京より良いことと言えば温泉！銭湯と違ってちゃんとした温泉が街のあちこちにある。本日は安定所や買い物にも行きましたが、妻の提案で夜は近くの温泉に行くことになった。うちから車で３０分の距離でたらポッキ温泉に行きました。

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was quiet and relaxing and the bath was nice as well.

外見から見るとたいしたことじゃないかも知りませんが、静かでリラックス出来る場所でした。大浴場も良かったです。

As you may have surmised, it is against protocol to take pictures inside the bath (being a public place and all with other bathers) so I borrowed an image from the internet to give you an idea of what the bath looked like.
