While still waiting to receive a phone call to tell us that our car is ready, we had to rely on our foot, the train, and the bus system. My wife wanted to go shopping one afternoon so we headed out to Aomori station. It was just a matter of getting out of the house for a change. While at Aomori station, it was lunch time and we were having a hard time deciding where to eat. We finally made the decision to check out a small restaurant located near the station. It was called [Pope] (pronounce Po・peh) two syllables. It looked like what we would call a diner in the States. The roast beef bowl looked promising so that it was we ordered.
まだ車が来たの電話待ちの時、妻がどうしても青森駅のほうに買い物に出かけたいことで行ってきました。ま、家で引き込むよりやっぱり車がなくてもちょっと出かけたくなったんです。たいした買い物もせず、青森駅周辺でちょうどランチの時間でした。歩き回って迷いながら最終決定した店は駅の近くの「ぽぺ」というところでした。外のメニューのローストビーフ丼が良さそうで私たちが同じものを注文しました。

The set included miso soup, oshinko, and three little side dishes.
