Road trip to Ajigasawa and Goshogawara (Part 1) Naojiro Chanpon / 鰺ヶ沢と五所川原へのロードトリップ （パート１）食事処 「なおじろう」

On a quiet Wednesday when we had no plans except to go to one of the nearest DVD rental shop where I thought I would check out some movies and just relax at home didn't turn out that way. My sister-in-law had the day off so she would guide to the nearest shop. Once we got there, my wife checked out some used CDs but didn't find what she was looking for and I didn't rent any movies and thought that was a waste of time when my wife spontaneously said how about going to Ajigasawa for lunch. She was talking about a place that serves Naojiro Chanpon, a type of ramen.  I always looking forward to any kind of road trip so off we went.

静かな水曜日に予定もなしな時、DVDレンタルの店行くことになった。義理の妹の休日だったし、案内してくれた。妻が中古のCDを探したが見つからなかった。自分も見たい映画が中々決められれなかったので、そのまま帰ると思ったが妻が突然鰺ヶ沢にある店でランチ食べに行こうと提案。その店の名物がなおじろうチャンポン。冒険付きな僕は妻の提案に賛成。

On the road to Ajigasawa.

鰺ヶ沢を目指す。

A forty to fifty minute drive and we made our destination - Naojiro.

４０分か５０分のドライブで目的地の食事処「なおじろう」に到着。

A Notice to Customers

About our most popular menu item, Naojiro chanpon, we use fresh seafood (turban shell, snow crab, whelk, and scallops), the size may not all be the same. If the ingredients are very small, we will increase the amount.

With all the seafood and vegetables, you cannot even see the noodles. You get also get full on just the toppings alone.

シーフードの具材と野菜がたっぷりあって、麺がまったく見えません。具だけ食べても結構お腹いっぱいになる。

If you are a fan of seafood, you won't want to miss out on trying the Naojiro chanpon at least once.

シーフード好きなら一回はなおじろうチャンポンを食べてみるべきです。

And then it was time to head back to Aomori.

青森市に戻る時間になりました。

On our way back, we came upon a place called the Tsugaru Earth Village. As it was winter, there wasn't much going on here. A restaurant and a hot spring were the only things open and as we had just eaten, we soon left this place.

帰りの途中、つがる地球村という施設を発見。冬だったからかも知りませんが開いてのはレストランと温泉だけ。食べたばっかりだったので、すぐ去った。

We also stopped here, a michi no eki (street station) - Morita Earth Top.

道の駅に寄りました ー 森田アーストップ。

This beautiful buidling was a soba shop.

この美しい建物は蕎麦屋でした。

Snack time / おやつの時間

And what am I going to do with this small cup of pebbles? I'm going to eat them! They are chocolate. And our trip continues.
