Ristorante [Orukesuta] / リストランテ 「オルケスタ」

Once again relying on my wife's memory of great restaurants in Aomori, we went to a place where she said the pasta dishes were great. The name of the restaurant is called [Orukesuta]. It has a very European style interior and it appears that they promote live shows from time to time as well. Most of the dishes on their menu are Spanish cuisine but as we came here for lunch, we ordered their pasta dishes. I ordered the blue crab pasta while my wife ordered the squid ink pasta set.

妻の記録を頼りにして、まだ青森に住んでたころの美味しいパスタの店に行きました。店の名前は「オルケスタ」。店内も結構ヨーロッパ風で楽器も置いてある。たまにはライブをやってるみたい。メインの料理はスペイン料理でした。ランチに来たためランチタイムメニューから注文しました。僕が頼んだのは渡り蟹のパスタ。妻はイカスミのパスタを注文。

良い雰囲気です。

The lunch set includes a green salad.

Road trip to Ajigasawa and Goshogawara (Part 2) Osamu Dazai Memorial Museum Shayokan / 鰺ヶ沢と五所川原へのロードトリップ （パート２）太宰治記念館 斜陽館

On our way back to Aomori from Ajigasawa, we passed through Goshogawara. My wife noticed that we had passed by the Osamu Dazai Memorial Museum and suggested stopping in there before heading back home. Although I haven't read any of Dazai's books, as a fan of a great architecture and literature, I was more than happy to check the place out.

鰺ヶ沢から青森に戻る途中で五所川原も通った。偶然に太宰治記念館の斜陽館を発見したので、妻の提案で探索してみた。自分は太宰治の本は読んでませんが、建物に興味を持っていたので、是非行ってみようと思った。

Apparently the Shayokan and Osamu Dazai are the subject of an animation series titled "Bungo Stray Dogs". Well, I haven't watched the series so I do not know how the series and the Shayokan are related.

斜陽館はアニメシリーズの”文豪ストレイドッグズ”の舞台になったかも。見たことないし、話の内容はまったく知りません。

But I like the catchphrase on this poster - "Read books!"

And then we really did try to go back to Aomori but it seems the road signs were deceiving as we circled the same area about three times before we found the right road out of Goshogawara!

その後青森に戻ろうとしたんですが迷子になって、同じ道３回位回った。３回目はなんとか正しい道を見つかってそのまま青森に無事帰りました。
