Cafe [Bossa] / 造作タパス「BOSSA」

After we moved to Aomori City from Tokyo back in November of 2016, I had to find a new job. I was lucky enough to be hired by an English Conversation School (that still employs me by the way). I started my new job on the first of March, 2017. In December, this school has a Christmas party for its students. It was the first school party I would attend. It was held at a cafe called [Bossa] located in Shinmachi and is within walking distance from our school. I was still fairly green as a teacher and didn't know the other teacher or office manager so well so I just focused on taking pictures of the food. 

２０１６年の１１月に東京から靑森市に引っ越しました。最初にやることは新しい仕事を見つけることでした。運良く、駅前の英会話学校が僕を雇ってくれた。講師の経験のない俺にはありがたいこどでした。現在もその学校で英語の講師で務めてる。２０１７年３月１日正式な契約社員として始まった。この学校の講師は全員１年契約になってる。で、毎年の１２月に生徒たちの為、学校主催のクリスマスパーティが開く。自分はまだ別講師やオフィスマネージャーはそんなに知らないし、学校外で生徒たちはどういう会話するかまだ分からなくて、とりあえず最初は料理を中心にする。２０１７年のクリスマスパーティの店は学校に近くにある造作タパス「BOSSA」でした。

そして食べた料理。

I don't remember how many students joined this Christmas Party which was my first but I do remember the food tasting pretty good. 

何人の生徒が参加したか覚えてないけど、確かに料理は美味しいとは覚えてる。

Ristorante [Orukesuta] 2nd Visit / リストランテ 「オルケスタ」２回目

A few days after Valentine's, my wife and I decided to have lunch at one of her favorite restaurants when she was still living in Aomori. A Spanish restaurant called [Orukesuta]. We wanted to come here for lunch for the combination plate specials. As their were two different lunch specials, I ordered the A lunch while my wife ordered the B set.

バレンタインデーの直後、僕と妻がまたランチで外食に出かけました。妻がまだ青森に住んでたころの好きなスペイン料理店の「オルケスタ」に行きました。これは青森に引っ越して２回目の来店。以前来た時、ランチセットが気になって、その為に来ました。１，１００円でワンプレートランチが２種類あて、僕がAランチを頼んで、妻がBランチを注文。

There were no other customers when we went, however, my wife did tell me that the place does get crowded during dinner time. I rather enjoy the quiet atmosphere.

私たちが行った時、全然混んでませんでした。妻によると、夜のほうが賑やかみたい。昼の静かな雰囲気も良いです。

Salad was served first. It was topped with the restaurant's own dressing (at least I think it was).

サラダが最初に出てきまして。店の特性のドレッシング（と思うけど）、が美味しかった。

The soup is simple but still looks stylish.

スープもシンプルでお洒落。

Todays One Plate Lunch Menu / 本日のワンプレートランチ

Starting from the top left and going clockwise, my lunch consisted of a Spanish omelet, chicken simmered in a tomato broth, pasta with mushrooms, seafood paella, and of course as this is Aomori, grilled scallop on the half shell in the center of the plate.

左上から時計回りにスペインオムレツ、若鶏のトマトソース煮、きのこのパスタ、魚介パエリアそして青森県なので、プレートの真ん中に帆立の貝焼きがありました。

Also starting from the top left and going clockwise, my wife's B set lunch plate consisted of eggplant topped with cheese, shrimp gratin, spaghetti with basil, paella with squid ink and grilled scallop on the half shell.

同じく、左上ｋら時計回りに妻のランチプレートはなすのチーズ焼き、えびグラタン、バジリコスパゲッティ、イカスミパエリアと帆立の貝焼き。

Ristorante [Orukesuta] / リストランテ 「オルケスタ」

Once again relying on my wife's memory of great restaurants in Aomori, we went to a place where she said the pasta dishes were great. The name of the restaurant is called [Orukesuta]. It has a very European style interior and it appears that they promote live shows from time to time as well. Most of the dishes on their menu are Spanish cuisine but as we came here for lunch, we ordered their pasta dishes. I ordered the blue crab pasta while my wife ordered the squid ink pasta set.

妻の記録を頼りにして、まだ青森に住んでたころの美味しいパスタの店に行きました。店の名前は「オルケスタ」。店内も結構ヨーロッパ風で楽器も置いてある。たまにはライブをやってるみたい。メインの料理はスペイン料理でした。ランチに来たためランチタイムメニューから注文しました。僕が頼んだのは渡り蟹のパスタ。妻はイカスミのパスタを注文。

A very relaxing atmosphere.

良い雰囲気です。
