One Sunday, we went on a drive to Mutsu. On the way, we stopped by a convenience store for a short break. Near this convenient store, you will find the Scallop Kannon.
As you can see, the Kannon is standing on a scallop shell.
The sign says the "Scallop Kannon (Goddess)" was erected in July of Hesei 4 (1992). It was built with the hope that Mutsu Bay will always be beautiful, that the fishing industry and those who work in it will be safe and prosperous, for traffic safety and health, and so on.
I'm not a hardcore fan of taking pictures of train, although I do enjoy doing so if I think the train is kind of cool. I also like taking pictures of the various stations on local lines. Around March of last year, my wife and I and my mother-in-law went to Mutsu. On our way, I had my wife stop at a very small station along the Ominato Line.
It looks very homemade.

The day we went to Mutsu, we actually saw a train stopped at Akagawa station.
If you look really closely, you can see the train behind the trees. It is most likely headed towards Misawa station.
