Ramen Shop [Hiroya] /

There was another ramen shop that recently opened near my place of work that I was curious in trying. So, on the fourth day of my Golden Week holidays and the first day of the Reiwa Era, I decided to check it out. It is located in an area called Shinmachi near Aomori Station. The name of the shop is Hiroya. They have two main types of ramen on their menu. The niboshi (dried sardines) or a tsukemen style ramen which is a dipping type of noodle.  I decided to try the tsuke-men.

This is the interior of the shop. As I got there right at opening time, there weren't any other customers yet. To order your ramen, you must use the ticket machine that's shown in the middle of the picture.

This is the gyo tsuke-men. The owner was kind enough to say to me in English and use gestures of how to eat it by saying "Noodle in the soup". What's different about this ramen shop compared to most others is that there is no chashu in the broth, instead, it is served with chicken! It was delicious but the only complaint I had was the broth was just luke warm. I think it would have tasted better had the broth been heated a little more. Still, I think I may pay this shop another visit sometime in the future.

Bon Appetit!
