Bed & Breakfast Naojiro / 民宿 「なおじろう」

I've actually featured this place before when my wife and I went on one of our earliest road trips. Our goal was the restaurant at this inn. One of their specialties is called the Naojiro Chanpon. It had been a couple of years since we first went and we were in the mood to eat the chanpon again.

以前もこの場所を紹介しました。私たちが東京から青森に引っ越して、車を購入。それからちょこちょこドライブに出かけました。妻が思い出のチャンポンが食べたいから、いざ鰺ヶ沢にある民宿「なおじろう」へ出発。この民宿の食事処の名別がなおじろうチャンポン。約３年ぶりにまたなおじろうに行きました。

As it was still January, many ponds were still frozen over. 

まだ一月だったので、いろんな池や沼は凍ってました。

This is Naojiro. It's a bed and breakfast and also has a restaurant that's opened to the public.

ここが民宿「なおじろう」。民宿に泊まらなくても、レストランは普通に行ける。

Aside from the Naojiro Chanpon, this bed and breakfast has one other specialty item. It's a seafood dish called the hiramezukedon or rice topped with seasoned flounder.

民宿「なおじろう」のメニューになおじろうチャンポン以外にもう一つの名物があります。それはヒラメの付け丼。

This is what we came for today. The Naojiro chanpon. You can choose from a salt based broth or miso. As you can see, this ramen is topped with a lot of seafood - crab, shrimp, clams, and other shellfish. 

今日の目的はこれです。なおじろうチャンポン。メニューに見れば、しお味かみそ味が選べる。そしてラーメンにトッピングされてるのは海老、蟹、サザエ、あさりなど。トッピングは豊富でラーメンが見えない。

And lunch is served.

On our way back home, we stopped at this Roadside Station to get a snack.

家に戻る途中にこの道の駅に寄りました。今からスナックタイム。

This was the snack I bought. Pretty yummy!
