It appears I missed a f ew pictures my wife took of me and Don at Senjojiki. This is when Don went to check if it there was mirror embedded in the rock or if there was an actual hole.

Of course we decided to walk out to the edige of Senjojiki to get a closer look at the Sea of Japan.
千畳敷で歩けるところまで歩いてみた。やっぱり海は近くで見るべしのもんですね。
Amazingly for Aomori, it wss extremely hot today. The temperatures were up in the 90s.
青森で珍しく今日は猛暑日でした。温度は３５度以上だった。
Don drove us safely to Lake Juniko giving my wife a little rest from driving. We were heading to Aoike, which translates to "Blue Pond". As we were walking towards Aoike we spotted this bird resting on a branch at the Keitobano Pond.
千畳敷から十二湖までドンが運転してくれた。目指すのは青池。ドンが無事十二湖に到着しました。これから行くのは青池。途中で鶏頭場ノ池にこの鳥を見かけた。
And here we are at the Aoike. The pond is 97.5 square meters (1050 sq ft) and has a depth of 9.0 meters (approx 30 ft).
青池に到着。面積が９７．５ｍ２と深さは９．０ｍ。
Definitely a must see place if you make to Aomori Prefecture. Scientists and experts have studied the lake but they still do not know what makes the pond so blue.
青森県に来たら、ここは絶対見るべしの名所。なぜこの色になるのは現在でも不明。
We mustn't forget our touristy pictures to prove that we were there.
観光用の写真も撮らないとね。これが私たちが青池に行った証拠になります。
Walking back to the car, we stopped to take in the view of Keitoba Pond again.
車に戻ろ途中また鶏頭場の池を眺める。
It was nearing noon and we were getting a little hungry. There really aren't any great restaurants at Lake Juniko so we decided to go to a place called WeSPa Tsubakiyama. It's a resort area where you can rent cottages. The facility also has a restaurant, a souvenir shop, a bathhouse, a glass workshop, and a small insect museum. There is also a tram that takes you to an observation tower. By the glass workshop, you can see a steam locomotive on display.
そろそろ昼食の時間になったので、どこかの飲食店を探すことに。十二湖に美味しそうなレストランがないため、ウェスパ椿山リゾートを目指した。ウェスパ椿山は海沿いにあるリゾートの施設。中にレンタル出来るコテージやゲストハウス。展望温泉、レストラン、白神ガラス工房や子供に人気ある昆虫館。蒸機関車も展示されてる。
Nope, that is not a part of Hogwart's School of Wizardry. It is the restaurant at the WeSPa Tsubakiyama resort. It is called [Camellia].
残念ながらその建物はハリー・ポッターの世界のものではございません。それはウェスパ椿山にあるレストラン「カメリア」。
Definitely time for a travel beer!

Don and my wife decided to order the prawn set which includes rice, soup, pickled vegetables and a soba made from seaweed.
ドンと僕の妻が注文したのはエビフライセット。これはライス、スープ、お新香とわかめそば付。
Garlic steak set for me!
僕はやっぱり肉を選ぶ。ガーリックステーキです。
Next to the windmill is the observation tower. On the right of the picture, you can see the tram tracks and if you look closely, you might even spot the tram.
風車の隣に展望台が建てる。写真の右側にスロープかー「しらかみ号」の線路が見える。よく見るとしらかみ号も映ってます。
We checked out the glass workshop where Don bought a few presents for his sisters and then we headed to the souvenir shop [Colobuckle]. I told Don he could try a snow carrot soft serve there.
食べ終わったらガラス工房を覗いて、ドンが姉たちのためにプレゼントを購入。そのあとは物産館の「コロバックル」へ。ドンにここなら雪人参のソフトが食べれると伝えた。

Our next stop would be one of Aomori Prefecture's famous hot springs. This would be Don's first Japanese hot spring experience. I did tell him to leave his modesty behind as he would be getting naked with strangers! But more on that on the next post. Our Sunday adventure continues...
次の目的地は青森県が誇る有名な温泉。ドンにとって、日本の温泉は初体験になる。ドンに伝えましたよ、赤の他人と一緒に裸になってお風呂に入るんだ。ま、その話はまた次。日曜の冒険が続きます。。。
