Sometimes I can't believe it's already been six months since I was overwhelmed with snow shoveling. Yesterday was the official day of summer so I don't really have to think about winter yet but I hope the next winter isn't as bad as it was this year.
もう雪かきに追われた日から半年が経った。考えてみると信じられないくらいの早さ。昨日は夏になったばっかりなので、まだ雪かきを気にしなくて良いと分かるが、次の冬がこうならない様に祈るしかない。
First, a couple of night scenes as I came home from work on a Saturday night.
最初はある土曜日、仕事から帰って、うちの近くの景色。
The snow slope I'm always making which is right across from our house.
いつも作ってる雪捨て場行きの坂。家の向かいとなります。
This scene does look like we live on the moon or something.
この景色を見るとなんか月に済んでる感じもするかも。
The bulldozers came in the night and cleared the roads. However, whenever they come, the snow ruins my slope which I have to rebuild.
夜中にブルドーザーが来て、道を綺麗にするのが良いけど、毎回自分が作った坂が駄目になる。何回も作り直すしかない。
So, the first job of the day is to fix this slope.
という事で最初にやることは坂を直す。

This area took a good two hours to complete.

Taking a look at my slope. It goes about ten feet out from the street. Below it really is a cliff.
自分が作った坂のほうを見る。道から約３メートル離れてる。本当に崖の上ですよ。
Yep, that's a lot of snow.
はい、大量の雪です。
Well, something to look forward to in another six months!
ま、半年後の楽しみだね。
