まだ元町にいたため、名所の教会巡りをしました。ちょうど夕方だったので、あんまり明るいって感じでもないし、まだ暗くなってない。結構良い雰囲気になってます。

This is the Carl Raymond House. A shop that sells homemade ham and sausages. My wife and I tried a couple of his sausages last year. It was after 6pm so that the shop was closed.
この建物はカール・ライモンハウスです。ドイツ製法ソーセージとハムの店。去年妻と一緒店に入ってソーセージを食べました。今回はもう６時すぎだったので店はもう閉店してました。
A cute little pension (small hotel) called Yumekukan in Motomachi.

The Hasegawa Store at night. This shop is known for its yakitori bento. Yakitori translates to "grilled chicken" but if you look closely at the sign, which is also the design of the bento box, you will notice a picture of a pig. Yep, that's right, Hasegawa's "yakitori" bento contains no chicken! It's made with pork!

The sign in Japanese is understandable but I wonder who wrote the English translation.
ネコにかんする説明の日本文はわかりやすいが、いったいだれが英訳されたんだろう？
日本語：自動カルクリ人形オルゴール。１９世紀後半の衣装を身にまといオペラを見にでかるネコのお嬢さん。右手には彼から戴いた花束でしょか、時々香りを楽しむ様子が見られます。左手には扇子を持ち優雅に仰ぎながのお出かけです。当時お貴族の生活様式などもうかがい知られる一品となってます。

Okay, it's time for us to head to our hotel. Our check in time is 8pm. We planned it that way. From the Bay Area its about a thirty minute ride on the tram. We're staying at a place called Hotel Hanabishi in the Yunokawa area, a popular hot spring resort area. Hakodate evening adventures will continue...
さて、そろそろホテルに向かわないっと。チェックインが夜８時（わざとそうしました）。ベイエリアからホテルは市電で３０分くらい。今夜の宿は三ツ星のホテルの「花びし」。夜の函館冒険が続きます。。。
