Memorial Ship [Hakkoda Maru] (Part 3) / メモリアルシップ「八甲田丸」（パート３）

Continuing my tour of the Memorial Ship [Hakkoda Maru]. After wandering around on deck and checking out the observation post, it was back inside the ship.

メモリアルシップ「八甲田丸」ツアーの続き。デッキと煙突展望台は堪能したあと、また船の中の探索を続きました。

The sign on the table says it's a silent zone. 

テーブルの上のサインでここはサイレントゾーンと書いてある。

Even the Hakkoda Maru has a kamidana (a miniature altar). 

八甲田丸に神棚もあるんですね。一回、僕が八甲田神社の札を取りに行ったことあるよ。

Bumping post with Automatic Coupler with Hydraulic Buffer. (Thank goodness for all the signs to inform you). 

自動連結器付車止。（サインがあって助かる！）。

Yes, there are full-sized trains displayed inside the ship.

はい、船の中に電車の車両が展示されてます。

This is the mail car. (Suyuni 50)

鉄道の所有した最終型郵便局車。（スユニ５０）

You can see the mark for the Post Office on the side of the car. 

ちゃんと外側に郵便マークの「〒」が書いてある。

The above pictures are of the Kiha 82.

This railroad car is a DD16. 

この車両はＤＤ１６。

This car, the Hi 600, was used in the ship to move freight from one place to another. 

この車両はヒ６００。船の中で使用された出し入り専用の貨車です。

The Yo 6000 was also used to transport freight. 

ヨ６０００も貨物で使用された車両。

Going down these stairs is going to take me to the engine room. 

階段を下りたらエンジンルームが現れる。

I'm in front of the main engine. 

主機関の前に立ってました。

On the left is the Propulsion Engine Control Panel. On the right is the Supervisory Panel. 

左側にあるのは推進機関操作盤。右側にあるのは監視盤。

This is the Watertight Bulkhead Door. 

これは水密扉。

I'm now in the Dynamo Room. 

次に来たのは発電機室。

This is the Main Generator (700KVA).

これが主発電機（７００ＫＶＡ）。

More railway cars.

車両がまだある。

That almost complete the tour of the ship. Next, I had to check out the actual railway tracks that lead into the ship.

これでツアーがほぼ終了ですが、もう一ヶ所見るべきのところがある。

After my tour of the ship, I decided to walk to the top of the Aomori Bay Bridge to check out the views from there. 

メモリアルシップ「八甲田丸」を探索したあと、青森ベイブリッジの上に行って、橋の上からいろんな景色を楽しんだ。

I'm still below the bridge. 

まだ橋の下に居る。

Now I'm on the bridge. 

こんどは橋の上に立ってます。

The building to the right of the ship is a two-story observation hall. 

八甲田丸の右側にあるビルは２買い建ての小さな展望台。

That concludes the tour of the Memorial Ship [Hakkoda Maru]. It was nearing noon, so it was time for me to find something to eat.
