August 4, 2017 was a Friday. I think my wife may have had the day off and we decided to go to the Aomori Museum of Art. I think my mother-in-law gave us free tickets to the current exhibition.
２０１７年８月４日は金曜日でした。今日妻もバイトから休みいただいたかも。そして義理の母からアートの展示会のただ券を貰って、僕と妻が青森県立美術館に行きました。
Before leaving the house, I had to try these different flavors put out by Kudopan, a local bakery in Aomori Prefecture. On the left, the toast (sandwich really) is filled with coffee cream. On the right, it is filled with red bean paste and margarine.
出かける前に青森県のパン工房工藤パンのイギリストースト２種類を食べてみた。ブレンドコーヒークリームと小倉＆マーガリン。自分が疑問に思ったのは普通のサンドウィッチなのに、なんでトーストという名前を付けたんだろう。
This large white building is the Aomori Museum of Art.
この白い建物が青森県立美術館。
I guess we went to see the Renaissance exhibition.
多分開催してるルネサンスの展示を見に行った。
But first, we went to check out an art piece by Aomori native Yoshitomo Nara. To see it, we had to follow the signs to the hakkakudo.
美術館に入る前に八角堂に奈良美智の作品を見に行った。
Pictures were not allowed inside the museum but after we checked out the exhibition, we decided to have lunch at the museum cafe.
館内は写真撮影禁止。アート見たあとに館内のカフェでランチを食べた。
The name of the cafe inside the museum is the Los Cuatro Gatos. i guess that would be "The Four Cats" in English.
館内のカフェの名前はLos Cuatro Gatos (４匹の猫)。
There are two types of bagel sandwiches you could order. The Avocado chicken with bacon, lettuce, and tomato or the three kinds of sausages bagel. Soup is included with the bagels.
メニューに２修理のベーグルサンドがある。あべ鶏のBLTベーグルか３種類のソーセージのベーグル。ベーグルにスープ付。

Aomori Wat's car. Aomori Wat's is the city's B2 league basketball team. Our team is currently in last place in the East Division.

Below the Aomori Bay Bridge is Aomori Labridge. It's a nice area to walk around.
青森ベイブリッジの下にある歩行者専用の橋は青森ラブルッジです。この周辺で散歩するのが最高。

妻がおすすめした店。今夜の夕飯は「王味（わんみ）」で決定。

In case you didn't notice, this Kirin Prime Beer is limited to Aomori Prefecture.
気づいてると思いますが、このキリンビールは青森限定です。
The food was delicious and cheap.
料理は美味しくって安い。
But the hit of the evening was this plate of gyoza. Damn, one of the best-tasting gyozas I've had in a long time. But you don't want ot be working the next day because the filling has a large dose of garlic.
今夜の絶品料理はやっぱりこの餃子。凄い美味しい。俺の餃子トップファイヴに入りますね。でも明日仕事がある方なら食べないほうが良いよ。にんにくがはんぱいない！にんにく好きならこれは何皿でも食えるわ。

Today was a full day of fun. I still have a few more days off before I have to go back to work. My wife has to go to work tomorrow so we called it a night and went home.
今日はたっぷり遊びました。自分はまだ何日間の休みがあるけど妻は明日仕事なので、このあと普通に帰りました。
