When I still lived in the States, I often went to car shows. I even enjoy going to car museums. So when one of my students informed me that there was going to be a Japanese Classic Car show in Kuroishi, I asked my wife if we could go. My wife isn't interested in looking at cars, classic or otherwise but she humored me and on a rainy weekend we went to Kuroishi.
まだアメリカに住んでた頃、自分はよくカーショーに行きました。実家の車博物館もお父さんと一緒に行った思い出もある。それで企業の英会話生徒が僕に教えてくれた。今週末黒石に日本のクラシックカーショーが開催する。妻に話して、行くことが決定しました。
黒石に着いてこの建物の近くに駐車した。面白いビルだなと思って。サインを見ると第三消防部になってます。
イベント会場は黒石の中町小店通り。この道の町並みが江戸時代を感じさせる。
I'm more familiar with American-made car and makes so I won't be able to tell you what year or car companies made the following vehicles but I will do my best to find out.
自分はアメリカの車のメーカーと一種はわかりますが日本の車にはまったく詳しくないので、写真だけを楽しんで下さいでも出来る限り調べてみます。

Here's a vehicle I've always wanted but never bought - a Jeep.
自分が昔憧れてた車、ジープだ。
We did more than just look at all the classic cars. As Nakamachi Komise is a street full of old buildings from the Edo period, we had to explore the different buildings and shops along the road as well.
せっかく黒石の中町小店に来てるから、車だけじゃなくて、江戸時代の建物もいろいろ探索しました。

This was a car I was familiar with, a Mazda Cosmo. I used to have a matchbox of Cosmo policecar.
この車知ってる。マツダのコスモ。昔ミニカーのパトカーがマツダのコスモだった。

Well, I see a "Z" on the hood, so perhaps this is a later model of the Nissan Fairlady Z.

This looks like an interesting monument. It has the title of [Koi Yosare] which translates to something like "Good Love".
面白そうなもの発見。タイトルが「恋よされ」。
この記念碑も面白い。下にキーボードがある。音楽家のゆかりの場所らしい。サインが読みにくいのではっきりわかりません。

This looked like another interesting building to check out. It used to be an old public bath house. It is called [Matsu no Yu].
この建物も良さそうなので、入ってみた。昔は銭湯で分かる。「松の湯」という名前だ。

That's a huge tree growing out of that building. Well, now we know how the bath house got its name.

I'm fairly certain my wife was getting bored by this time but we came upon another parking lot full of classic cars. I just had to go explore some more.
妻は多分段々飽きてたと思うがまた別の駐車場でいろんな車があり、俺はやっぱり探索に行った。

We did spend most of the day in Kuroishi even though the weather was terrible. We also had lunch along Komise Dori. We were going to check out a restaurant that one of my students recommended.
結構長い時間黒石中町小店通りにいた。ランチも小店沿いのレストランで食べた。その店は自分の生徒がおすすめしてましたで、楽しみだ。
