Local Shrine and Temple Pilgrimage (Kendoji Temple and Kanemine Shrine) / 近所のお寺・神社巡り（見道寺＆金峰神社）

Back in 2017, the school I work it decided to close during the Nebuta Festival instead of the Obon Holidays. So, I had a lot of free time to myself. I decided I would spend one day exploring the temple and shrine close to our house. I decided to check out Kendoji Temple first. It's located on top of hill not too far from Tsugaru Shijo station. This temple is home to 500 rakans (arhats, which in Buddhism are enlightened ones who have reached Nirvana) which I was looking forward to checking out. 

２０１７年の夏、うちの学校はお盆休みではなく、ねぶた祭りの時期に一週間休みになってました。結構自分の時間があって、ある日は近所の近くにあるお寺と神社を探索してみようっと。最初に目指したのは津軽新城駅の近くのお寺、見道寺（けんどうじ）。丘にあって、一番上に５００百羅漢があると聞いてそれも見に行きたい。

From Kendoji Temple, I walked to Kanemine Shrine, located close to Tsugaru Shinjo Station. 

見道寺を探索したあと、歩いて金峰神社（かねみねじんじゃ）に行きました。この神社は津軽新城駅のすぐ近くにある。
