Kappa Sushi / かっぱ寿司

After checking out the autumn foliage at Nakano Momijiyama in Kuroishi, we decided to have dinner at one of the popular conveyor belt sushi chain shops. This time we went to [Kappa Sushi]. The shop sign used to have a cute logo feature a couple of kappa. 

黒石市中野もみじ山の紅葉を堪能したあと、夕飯は回転寿司の人気チェイン店「かっぱ寿司」に行ってきました。昔は可愛い看板があったけど、子供ぽいと批判があったみたいで、現在のロゴになってます。

Of course we usually go to Hama Sushi only because it's the closest conveyor belt sushi shop to our house. But I believe my wife's favorite is Kura Sushi. That shop is always crowded. Now, I'm making myself hungry for sushi. 

私たちは大体はま寿司に行く。理由は簡単。家で一番近い回転寿司の店ですから。ですが、多分妻が一番好きな回転寿司チェイン店と言えば、くら寿司かな。なんか段々寿司食いたくなったぞ！

Sushi Shop [Hamazushi] / 回転寿司店「はま寿司」

One of the first conveyor-belt sushi places we went to after moving to Aomori City as [Hamazushi]. It's about a five minute drive from our house. 

東京から青森市に引っ越して、最初に食べた回転寿司の店は「はま寿司」。うちから車で約５分の距離。

I don't exactly remember what each sushi was. This was probably yellowtail. Oops, I checked their menu on the Internet, I think this is fatty albacore. 

最初に行ったとき、どいう寿司ネタを注文したのはメモってないから、写真を見るとたぶんはまちだったんじゃないかな。あっ、はま寿司のメニューをネットで調べたら、これは多分ビンチョウマグロでした。

I usually start off with maguro.

普段からまぐろから行きます。

And because I love avocados, I ordered the salmon with onion and avocado. 

アボカド大好きな俺はサーモンアボカド。

I also ordered the maguro avocado.

もちろんマグロアボカドも頼みました。

Oh, and I love scallops too!

あっ、帆立も大好きです！

I think this was dish was offered for a limited time. 

このサラダは多分期間限定のものだと想います。

Recently, my wife would also order a small bowl of ramen while eating sushi. 

最近、回転寿司店を行っても妻が大体ラーメンも注文する。

I decided to try one of the meat sushi. This is roast beef with garlic sauce and horse radish. 

肉のネタも食べようと想って、注文したのはローストビーフガーリックソース山わさび。

Dessert was a chocolate chip cheesecake (I think) which was offered for a limited time. 

デザートはチョコレートチップチーズケーキ（と想いますが）、このメニューも期間限定のものでした。

And now I'm full!!

Revolving Sushi Shop [Kura Sushi] / 回転寿司「くら寿司」

The revolving sushi shop that my wife and I often go to is "Hamazushi" as it's the closest sushi shop to our house. However, my wife's favorite sushi shop (the revolving kind of course) is Kura Sushi. We were shopping at the Sunroad Mall and it was lunch time so we went to Kura Sushi which is nearby. In Tokyo, whenever we tried to go to Kura Sushi it was always so crowded that you would have to wait an hour or more before getting a table or counter. Here in Aomori City, that wasn't a problem. 

私たちがいつも行く開店寿司の店は「はま寿司」。なぜと言えば、うちから一番近い店です。でも妻が一番好きな開店寿司店は「くら寿司」。１月２８日の木曜日、自分が有給を取って、妻もその日が休みで、青森サンロードで買い物した。昼食の時間になり、近くにある「はま寿司」に行ってきました。東京でいつも行こうとしてたが、毎回行列出来て、待ち時間が一時間以上が多くていつも諦めてた。青森市にそういう行列の心配もなくすぐ席に案内された。

This is one of my favorite kind of sushi - skipjacks. 

僕はこの寿司が大好き－カツオ。

At Kura Sushi, the only sushi that is topped with avocado and onions is the shrimp. 

くら寿司でアボカド乗せの寿司はエビのみでした。

Horse mackerel is good too. 

鰺も美味しいよ。

This is another one of my favorites - negitoro no gunkan. 

これも大好き。ネギトロの軍艦。

I had to get my fill of salmon as well. 

サーモンも食べないっとね。

Of course Aomori is known for their scallops as well. 

やっぱ青森と言えば帆立でしょう。

I usually end my sushi meals with negitoro maki. 

僕の寿司の〆はネギトロ巻き。

But my wife and I like to end our meal with a dessert. We both chose the cheesecake. 

でも最後の〆はやっぱりデザートです。僕と妻が選んだのはチーズケーキ。
