I'm continuing to share my mother's Aomori adventures. After we checked out the Ajigasawa Sumo Museum and had some cake and coffee, we were on the road again. Our next destination was Senjojiki. However, before we got there, we made a little stop at the Ikoi Parking Lot.
母の靑森冒険の話の続きです。鰺ヶ沢相撲館の探索とコーヒーとケーキの休憩が終わって、また旅に出た。次目指すのは千畳敷。そこに着く前にまた母に面白いところが紹介したかったので、憩いの駐車場でトイレ休憩。
Although this isn't the largest gingko tree in Japan, I think it's more beautiful when it's at its golden best.
この木は日本一のイチョウではありませんが、秋の終わり頃に日本一のイチョウより個人的にこっちの木が綺麗と想う。
This is what it looked like at the end of November last year.
去年の１１月末はこういう感じでした。
Look, my Mom made a new friend at the parking area.
みて、母が新しい友達が出来た。
At this parking lot, you will find the Fisherman's Snack and Cafe [Amigoya].
憩いの駐車場で漁師のあやつ屋さんと漁師カフェ「網小屋」がある。
A couple of scarecrow kids are hanging out in front of the shop. The shiosai ice cream is quite delicious.
案山子の子供たちが店の前に遊んでる。この店の潮騒ソフトがおすすめです。

I tried to take a lot of pictures with Mom so she could show her friends and other relatives the adventures she went on.
母とのツーショットもいっぱい撮ろうと思い、親戚や母の友達が写真を見せながら、自分の旅の思い出を語れるようと想った。

The sign is written in the Tsugaru dialect. On the right it says, "It's great that you came to my shop. You have to eat a fisherman's meal". On the left, it says, "Come again. I'll be waiting."
津軽弁で書かれてる看板。”よぐおらいの店さ、きてけたのー。漁師飯食っていがねが～”。これを標準語に訳すと”よく私の店に来て下さいました。漁師飯を食べるべきです。”

My mother said if she came here the last time, she would walk out to the edge of the ocean. The area is far from smooth walking so I had to tell my mother that she should just enjoy the view.
母が前に来てたら、絶対海のほうまで歩いたと言った。千畳敷の上でバランス取るのが難しいから、母に見るだけでエンジョイしてくれ。
This is where we decided to have lunch.
ここでランチ食べるのを決定しました。
My mother, mother-in-law, and wife all ordered the chuka soba. I decided to have the chashu-men but my bowl of ramen looked the same as theirs.
母、義理の母と妻３人が焼き干しの中華そばを注文。自分はチャーシュー麺を頼んだけど、同じようなラーメンが提供された。
At this shop, the chashu was served on a separate plate.
この店でチャーシューは別のプレートで提供された。
I just added the meat to my ramen to make my bowl of chashumen.
チャーシューをラーメンに乗せたら立派なチャーシュー麺になった。

There is a nice little waterfall opposite the restaurant.
