Although my mother is safe and sound back in the U.S., I still have a few more pictures from her adventures of staying in Aomori for one week. As my wife and I had to work for most of the week, it was my mother-in-law who really looked after Mom.
母は無事にアメリカに帰りましたが、まだ靑森冒険の写真いろいろあります。僕と妻はほぼ仕事だったので、僕の母の面倒を一番見てくれたのは僕の義理の母でした。

Later on in the evening, we all went out for sushi.
その日の夕飯はうちの近くにある回転寿司の店に行ってきました。

I decided to have a beer with my sushi.
ビールを飲みたい気分になり、飲んだよ！
Even though we were at a sushi shop, my wife often orders their ramen.

The following Sunday, we took Mom to Misawa. She was our sponsor so we were able to go on base. My mother-in-law and my sister-in-law also joined us. We even got to shop at the BX and the commisary. Of course, Mom had to pay though. But what me and my wife were really looking forward to was eating lunch at Taco Bell. There is one in Shibuya but it's not the same. The Taco Bell on base is more like the ones in the U.S.
次の日曜日は僕と妻の公休日なので、母を三沢市まで連れてあげた。義理の母と義理の妹も一緒に来てくれた。母のおかげで三沢基地の中に行けることが出来た。そして基地の中のBX（デパートみたいなところ）とカミサリー（基地の中のスーパー）で買い物も出来た。でも僕と妻が一番楽しみにしてたのはアメリカのメキシカンファーストフードチェイン店の「タコ・ベル」でランチを食べることだった。妻が以前初めてクランチータコスを食べて、それがまた食べたくて、妹にも食べさせかったということでした。東京渋谷にもTaco Bellはありますが、アメリカとは全然違う。基地の中のほうは本場アメリカと一緒。

My wife enjoying her hard shell tacos. I think it was the first time for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law to eat Tex-Mex fast food.
妻が念願のクランチータコスを食べてる。義理の母と義理の妹は初めてテック・メックス料理を食べたと想う。
Mom eating lunch. She's not really a big fan of Mexican food and I knew she wouldn't be able to finish it so I only ordered a burrito supreme for myself.
ランチを食べる母。母さんはメキシカン料理はそんなに好んでないため、全部食べられないと予想して、自分は１個のブリトシュプリームを注文した。
My burrito supreme. It may look small but it was pretty voluminous. I also ate half of Mom's plate and the one bean burrito that my mother-in-law didn't finish.
僕のブリトシュプリーム。見て目は小さいかも知りませんが、結構ボリュームあり。ま、母のプレートも半分食べて、義理の母が食べらなかった豆のブリト１個も食べた。

My wife bought a new pair of jeans, my mother-in-law a new jacket, and my sister-in-law, a T-shirt for her husband and some other clothing items. Thanks to Mom!!
妻が新しいジーンズを買って、義理の母はジャケット、義理の妹は旦那の為のTシャツと自分の洋服。ありがとう母さん！！

They're not the original Pop Tarts but similar enough.
オリジナルポップタートではないが、似たようなものです。
These look pretty spicy so I had to pick up at least one bag.
辛そうだったので一袋買った。
I also bought some snacks and a box of Lucky Charms for my neighborhood convenience store clerks that I have become friendly with.
ほかに仲良くになった近所のコンビニ店員にアメリカンスナックスとラッキー・チャームというシリアルを買ってあげた。
After our spending spree, we took my mother to [Cafe Alouette] so she could try some souffle pancakes.
買い物のあとはカフェ「アルエット」に行き、母にスフレパンケーキを食べさせた。

Oh, I decided to model my Furofushi Hot Spring T-shirt as well.

After we ate our souffle pancakes, we then took my mother to a local hot spring which is administered by Hoshino Resorts. We went to [Hoshino Resort Aomoriya 'Motoyu'].
スフレパンケーキを食べたあと、母を三沢市にある温泉に連れてあげた。行ったのは「星野リゾート靑森屋 ’元湯’」。

On our way home, we decided to have dinner in Noheji. We took my mother to a place called [Family Shokudo]. My wife and I have been here before and we love their deep fried scallops. They are so big and delicious.
帰りの途中、野辺地で夕飯を取ることにした。行ったのは「ファミリー食堂」。僕と妻が以前も来たことがあり、私たちがおすすめするのはこの店のホタテフライ。大きくて美味しい！
As its difficult for my mother to get up from the floor, we opted to sit at a table.
現在母が座敷から立ち上がるのは難しいから、テーブルの席で座った。

Mom's last day in Aomori was coming to a close. We took her to Aomori Airport where we had one last lunch together before seeing her off to Osaka where she will spend a couple of days with her nieces and older sister.
母の靑森旅があっという間に終わる。最後は靑森空送って送って一緒にランチを食べた。母はこれから大阪府伊丹空港に行き、舞鶴に帰る前に自分の姉と姪っ子たちと過ごす。
Mom's last meal in Aomori was a scallop rice bowl set.
母の最後の靑森ランチは生ホタテ丼セット。
My wife's tempura and soba set looks really good too.
妻が注文した天ざるも美味しそう。
It's been a while so I ordered the miso curry milk ramen.
僕は久しぶりに靑森県B級グルメの味噌カレー牛乳ラーメンを食べた。
And that concludes my mother's Aomori visit.
