It was 2017, August 12, a day before my birthday. Our friends from Chiba were in town for the Obon season. For my birthday, they took me to a restaurant in Shinmachi called [Umibozu]. If you make a reservation at this restaurant, they will ask you if there is anything you can't eat and make a special menu. They also keep a record so you wouldn't be eating the same thing twice at this establishment.
時は２０１７年。夏のど真ん中。８月１２日。次の日が僕の誕生日。千葉県に住んでる友達がお盆のため、青森に来てました。（一人が青森出身なので）。１３日はお盆、みんながお互いの家族とお墓参りするので、自分の誕生日の前日に祝ってくれた。彼らが僕を「海坊房」という店に連れてくれた。予約すると、店の人がいろいろ聞かれる。嫌いものあるか、苦手なものはあるか。そしておまかせメニューを提供する。別の時に行ったら、別のメニューを用意する。同じものを食べない様にしてる。

I remember now. It wasn't sushi that we were making but more of a maguro wrap.
あっ、なんか思い出した。寿司を作ったわけではないが、マグロのラップみたいなものを作った。
