On our way home after walking across the Tsuru-no-Mai Bridge and checking out the Crane Park, then picking and eating cherries, we decided to head home. However, we passed by what looked like an old elementary school. We decided to make a short stop and take a peak.
鶴の舞橋を割ったって、丹頂鶴自然公園で丹頂鶴を見て、さくらんぼ狩りして、もうそろそろ家に帰ろうと思った。途中で気になった建物をみてなんだろうと思った。帰る前にちょっと寄り道。どうみても昔の学校にしか見えない。私たちが発見したのは鶴田町歴史文化伝承館でした。
We came upon this sign and as I'm always curious about anything new, I had to check it out. We were looking at the Myodozaki Fir Tree and is called "Todoroppo". The tree is over 350 years old.
気になったサインがあって、好奇心を持つ俺は調べなきゃ気が済まないタイプ。見たのは青森県自然記念物「妙堂崎のモミの木」通称トドロッポ。樹齢が３５０年くらいです。

This town certainly did an excellent job of upkeeping this school (or did a great renovation job). It looks like I'm standing outside of the nurse's office.

Well, for a town named after the bird it only seemed appropriate.
ま、鶴田町は名前は鶴が入ってるから鶴のオブジェがおちこちあってもおかしくないね。
