It was time for us to head inside the building to see what they had on display.
さて、三沢航空科学館に入って、どういうものが展示されてるのも楽しみだ。
We paid a little extra to see the special exhibit. What was on display was a Zero army trainer plane that was pulled out of Lake Towada after lying at the bottom for nearly sixty years. It was a Tachikawa Ki 54 Army Type 1 Twin-engines Advanced Trainer.
丁度三沢科学館に行ったとき、特別の展示が開催してた。零戦展示会でした。展示されたのは６９年振り十和田湖から引き揚げられた旧陸軍一式双発高等練習機。

This plane must have taken one hell of a beating during training.
練習機と言っても、結構厳しい訓練だったんだろうな。

There are seats in this contraption and air is blown from the bottom, so you float in the air just by the pressure.
この中の椅子に座って空気だけの力で空を飛ぶ。

Heck, I could have spent all day here and not be bored. There were lots of interactive science displays but it was getting a lot more crowded in the afternoon with kids and families.
や～、超楽しかった。ずーと居ても楽しい。子供連れの家族が段々増えて、ほかの科学展示のものが中々挑戦することが出来なかった。
On our way back home, we stopped by the Lake Ogawara Roadside Station.
帰り道におがわら湖道の駅に寄った。

We bought some dake-kimi (brand name corn) pudding.

We always have an ice cream break on our outings.
出かけてるとき、どっかで必ずアイスを食べる。
I think I picked this up at the roadside station as well - Kaikyo Salt Cider.
これも確か道の駅で購入した。海峡塩サイダー。
Looks like you can grow wasabi in Aomori Prefecture as well.
青森県でもわさびを育てられるみたいですね。
And so ended our weekend adventures. As the weather gets nicer, we will go on more adventures throughout Aomori Prefecture. Stay tuned.
