Road trip to Ikarigaseki and Owani (Part 2) / 碇ヶ関と大鰐の旅 （パート２）

And we were off to our next destination. To Owani Town to see the Azalea Festival. The weather was still holding up if a little bit cloudy. The top of Mount Iwaki was covered in clouds.

そして次の目的地を目指した。大鰐町のつつじ祭り。天気もまだよかったが、ちょおと曇りでした。岩木山の頂上は曇って見えませんでした。

And here we are at Chausuyama Park.

茶臼山公園に到着。

Giving you a glimpse of what we are about to see.

最初に見たつつじ。

As you can see, we are high up on a hill. We are overlooking the town of Owani.

ちょっと山の上にいるので、下に見える街は大鰐町。

This is the Owani Hot Spring Resort area.

ここは大鰐温泉郷。

That is Daien-ji Temple in the middle. I also saw a sign that said the bridge in the foreground is called the Chuo Bridge.

写真の真ん中に写ってるのは大円寺。あと手前にあるのは中央橋。

Tsurugahana to the left.

左側に鶴ヶ鼻。

The left peak is Mount Ajara. The peak in the middle is Owani Onsen Ski Resort.

左側の山はあじゃら山。真ん中の山は大鰐温泉スキー場。

If you look closely, you can see the Takinozawa Ski Jump.

良く見ると滝の沢ジャンプ台が見える。

This is the 40th Annual Owani Hot Spring Azalea Festival.

今年は第４０回大鰐温泉つつじまつり。

A power spot? Haneguro Shrine.

パワースポット？羽黒神社。

I don't know. I didn't feel any power at the Power Spot.

うんん、どうだろう？パワースポットでパワー感じなかった。

Break time. This is us eating some sweet potatoes.

休憩の時間。私たちが焼き芋食べてます。

Um, no, we're not going to climb up these stairs.

いえ、この階段は上りません。

Meanwhile back in Tokyo at Yoyogi Park, our friends video called us from the Laos Festival to include us in this year's festivities as well. Ah, it's our first year of missing the annual Laos Festival!

そして東京に居る友達からビデオ電話があって、彼らは私たちを忘れずに代々木公園で開催さてるラオスフェスティバルの様子を見せてくれた。あ～、今年初めてラオスフェスを不参加。
