Aomori City Winter Illumination 2017 / 青森市 冬イルミネーション ２０１７年

Our first winter of living in Aomori City. Which means this is our first time checking out the winter illumination near Aomori Station. It may not be as large and elaborate as many places in Tokyo but it still has its own charm.

青森市民で初の冬を過ごす。そして、今年初の冬イルミネーションを見に行きました。東京ほど派手ではないですが、結構チャーミングと思いました。

Many of these snow lamps were made by children.

だるまランプは街の子供たちとか作ってました。

Very cool snow lamps.

結構お洒落だね。

The large ship in the middle of the picture is the Hakkoda Maru where my mother-in-law works.
