At the beginning of Golden Week in 2018, our friends from Chiba came to Aomori and we spent the day taking them to places that we thought they might not have visited yet. On our itinerary was Apple Park in Hirosaki, Niogataki Waterfall, Iwaya Kannon, and the Tsugaru Dam in Nishimeya Village.
２０１８年のゴールデンウィークの始めの頃に千葉県から靑森に遊びに来た友達とドライブに出かけた。目的地は弘前にあるアップル公園、西目屋村にある乳穂ヶ滝(におがたき)、岩谷観音と津軽ダム。
Our first order of business was lunch.
一番最初にやることはランチを食べる。
We decided to have lunch at the Ringo House Restaurant.
ランチはりんごの家のレストラン。
The title of this piece is [Apple Maiden] and was created by Makoto Tozawa.
作品名は「りんごの乙女」。作者は戸沢まこと。

At Apple Park, we walked up to the top of the Suribachi Mountain Observation Deck.

It is the former residence of the Osanai family.

I love exploring these old farm houses and checking out the displays inside them.

After leaving Hirosaki Apple Park, we went to the Nishimeya Village Roadside Station for another little break.
弘前りんご公園を探索したあと、次目指したのは西目屋村の道の駅でまた一旦休憩。
We met a mascot character named Kennaki.
西目屋村の道の駅でケナッキというゆるキャラと出会った。
We next took our friends to the Niogataki Waterfall and the Toad Stone.
次友達を連れてあげたのは乳穂ヶ滝（におがたき）とガマ石。

And then we went to the Iwaya Kannon.
そして次連れてあげたのは岩谷観世音。
It's a little hike along the river to get to the Iwaya Kannon.

And then we went to the Tsugaru Dam.
そして津軽ダムに行きました。

We were entering the Shirakami Sanchi, a World Heritage Site.
世界遺産の白神山地に入りました。
It was a little too late in the afternoon to go on a hike to the Ammon Waterfall (and was further than I thought anyway).
亜門の滝まで行くのは遅すぎから諦めた。あとから調べたけど、結構遠かったみたい。
In the evening, we went to our friend's mother's house and had a yakiniku party. And so ended a full day of exploring.
靑森に戻って、友達の母の家で焼肉パーティーをやりました。それで本日の冒険の幕が閉じた。
