五所川原 ELM 旧ラーメン街道 / Former Ramen Kaido ELM Goshogawara

When we first moved to Aomori City, we discovered that one of the most popular places to shop was ELM in Goshogawara. Located on the second floor of the building was the Ramen Kaido, a place similar to the Ramen Museum in Shin Yokohama. An area that featured several different ramen shops. 

東京から青森市に引っ越したあと、人気の買い物スポットが五所川原にあるという情報をゲット。ELMというショッピングモール。そのビルの２回に昔ラーメン街道があった。新横浜にあるラーメン博物館と似た様な場所です。

We ordered ramen and gyoza from this shop. I don't recall the name of the place though. 

この店のラーメンと餃子を食べた。でも店名が忘れた。

But I do remember ordering the Meat Festival ramen.

でも肉祭りのラーメンを食べたのは覚えてる。

This was the ramen my wife ordered. 

妻が注文したラーメン。

I think we went to the Roadside Station after lunch and had some gelato. 

ランチを食べたあと、道の駅に行って、ジェラートを食べた。

This old railroad was displayed near a Family Mart convenience store we went to. 

この電車があるファミリーマートのコンビニの近くに展示されてる。

It was our first Halloween in Aomori, so we decided to make a Jack-o-lantern. 

青森市に引っ越して、初のハロウィーンでジャックオーランタンを作りました。

I think it turned out pretty well. 

良い出来映えと想う。

Coffee Shop [Marron] / 喫茶「マロン」

This year I didn't really make a resolution to start visiting my local cafes and coffee shops but it's something that I have been doing of more recently. I have seen and heard about the coffee shop called [Marron] which is located in the Yasutaka area of Aomori City, very close to my workplace. 

別に新年の抱負の分けではないが、最近よく待ちの喫茶店行くことが多くなった。前から気になって店があり。昔からあった話も耳にしたので、どうしても行ってみたかったのは喫茶「マロン」。場所は青森市の康方にあり、自分の職場からかなり近い。

Oh, I see two Eightman figures. There is a G.I. Joe too. 

おう、エイトマンが二人いるで！GI Joeも居ますね。

A large menu is posted on the wall. 

店内にあるでっかいメニュー。

Lunch menu. I decided on the tuna curry toast sandwich. 

ランチメニュー。自分が気になってのはツナカレートーストサンド。

A decent sized lunch that comes with some fruit. 

リーズナブル量でフルーツ付き。

It was quite tasty too. 

美味しかったよ。

Now that I've been frequenting coffee shops, it only seems proper to have a cup of coffee as well. 

最近はコーヒーショップや喫茶店巡りしてるから、やはりその店のコーヒーも飲むべきと想う様になった。

I treated myself to desert as well and ordered a cheesecake. 

デザートも注文して、チーズケーキを食べた。
