Going back in time once again to 2017, my wife and I took a drive along the Shimokita Peninsula. Our goal was to check out the Kawauchi Dam in Kawauchi.
また青森市に引っ越したばっかりのころで２０１７年の１０月に妻とドライブに出かけた。今回の目的地は下北半島、むつ市、川内にある川内ダム。
Passing through Ominito, we had a nice view of Mutsu Bay.
大湊を通ったときむつ湾が美しく見えた。

One last look at the dam before heading to the Kawauchi Roadside Station to pick up our dam card.
川内ダムを去る前にもう一回眺める。これから川内の道の駅で川内ダムのダムカードを貰いに行く。

We showed proof of having gone to look at the Kawauchi Dam to receive our free dam card.
道の駅のスタッフに川内ダムを見た証拠写真を見せて、ただで川内ダムカードを貰った。
We also had lunch at the Roadside Station and I ordered their "Dam Curry".
道の駅でランチを食べて、僕が注文したのは店の”ダムカレー”。
As we were driving back towards Mutsu City, we spotted a hot spring and decided to check it out. It was called the Fureiai Hot Spring.
むつ市に戻る途中、ふれあい温泉を発見し、そこに寄りました。

After we took our bath, we then stopped and walked a bit around the Sendai River Valley.
お風呂のあと、川内川渓谷でちょっと散歩しました。
On the video clip, I say we're at the Kawauchi Valley but we're actually at the Sendai River Valley.
動画で川内渓谷に居ると言ってましがた、正しくは川内川渓谷です。
Ooh, it looks like we're in bear country.

On our way back home, we had to pass through Mutsu City again.
帰りにまたむつ市を通らなきゃいけない。
We had a nice view of Mount Kamafuse. On top of the mountain is a radar station run by the Japan Self-Defense Force.
写ってる山は釜臥山です。上にあるのは自衛隊が管理してるレーダー。
We made another stop on our way home. This time to check out the Yokohama Hachimangu Shrine in Yokohama Town.
帰りの途中また寄り道しました。横浜町にある横浜八幡宮にお参りした。

Next, we stopped at this popular tofu shop called [Yusui-tei]. They are famous for their u-no-hana donuts, donuts made from soy pulp.
次寄ったのはこの有名な豆腐店。「湧水亭」。店の名物は卯の花ドーナッツ。それがめっちゃ美味しい。おからから作られてるドーナッツです。

We both ate these grilled tofu skewers.
私たちは豆腐の串焼きを食べた。
My wife also ordered the shoga miso denraku (a dish made from a type of yam and topped with a miso and ginger sauce).

I, of course, had an u-no-hana donut.
僕はやはり卯の花ドーナッツを食べましたよ。

As we were passing through Noheji Town, we decided to stop at the Noheji Hachiman Shrine.

We made one last stop and hung out at Sunset Beach in Asamushi.
最後の寄り道は浅虫にあるサンセットビーチ。
そして家に帰って、今日の冒険の幕が閉じた。
